Impact Alamance works closely with organizations that address our priority areas of Healthier, Smarter and Stronger. These strategic investments focus on population level outcomes and are centered around systems change, advocacy, and built environment. A portion of our investments are responsive grants. These grant opportunities are available to any nonprofit in Alamance County, serving Alamance County residents. These opportunities are listed below with their specific criteria and guidelines.

Description: The Flex Fund is a competitive one-time grant opportunity of up to $7,500 to be used towards nonprofit general operation expenses (not program expenses). Funds can be awarded to Alamance County 501(c)(3) non-profits that address one or more of the following social determinants as identified in the 2024 Alamance County Community Health Assessment.

Description: The Progress and Enhancement grant cycle is a competitive one-time grant opportunity of up to $50,000 designed to address the social determinants of health identified in the 2024 Community Health Assessment for Alamance County. Alamance County 501 (c)(3) non-profits that address one or more of the following social determinants are eligible for the funding, which is to be used for supply and equipment needs only.

Description: Impact Alamance has partnered with Honda to increase STEAM opportunities for students in the Alamance Burlington School System (ABSS). This collaboration aims to develop a sustainable workforce and ensure children experience the wonders of science, engineering, and technology. Through Honda’s contribution, Impact Alamance will provide a one-time competitive grant of up to $10,000. This grant will be awarded to K-12 ABSS schools enhancing STEAM learning. Funds from the grant can support, but are not restricted to events, programs, or challenges that promote hands-on STEAM activities through local chapters or affiliates, such as the First Lego League and First Robotics Team.

Description:
This grant aims to support health and wellness initiatives by providing funding for new physical education and gym equipment in middle and high schools. The program is designed to enhance physical education and promote healthier lifestyles among students by equipping schools with the tools they need to foster active and engaging fitness programs. Eligible applicants include middle and high school physical education and health teachers only. Schools can request funding of up to $7,100 to purchase physical education and gym equipment that aligns with their wellness goals and programs. This application opens on January 15, 2025 and closes February 5, 2025.
