We’re excited to share Alamance County’s Ripples of Change: Choosing Hope Over Division, a new report prepared by The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation in partnership with Impact Alamance. This report highlights how far our community has come through the collaborative work of the For Alamance initiative and outlines a clear path towards accelerating meaningful, community-led change.
What you’ll find in this report is a powerful reflection of what’s happening across Alamance County today. People are coming together, strengthening connections, and building a greater sense of belonging. Collaboration is growing, more voices are being heard, and a new, hopeful story is taking shape—one rooted in action, progress, and shared possibility. Much of this progress has come from people working together and building on the strengths already present in our community.
We invest in this work because we believe real, lasting change is driven by the community itself. Since 2021, our partnership with The Harwood Institute has supported a different way forward—one that centers listening, shared ownership, and action on what matters most to people. From early conversations to the development of local action teams through the Public Innovators Lab, we have seen how empowered residents can drive real, sustained progress. We remain committed to this approach because civically engaged communities are stronger, healthier, and better equipped to create solutions together.
We invite you to be part of what comes next. Whether by attending an orientation, joining a local action team, or learning how to apply this approach in your own work, there are many ways to get involved. To learn more, contact our Program Director, Jewel White, at (336) 221-0011 or jewel.white@conehealth.com.
Together, we are building momentum—and choosing hope over division.
