Alamance County, NC — July 14, 2025 — A new mobile app designed to connect residents and visitors with everything Alamance County recreation and parks has to offer is launching on July 14. Active Alamance will be available for free download on both the App Store and Google Play.
Created through a community-driven partnership led by the Alamance Wellness Collaborative and Impact Alamance, Active Alamance offers a comprehensive, easy-to-use platform that consolidates information on local parks, trails, community centers, sports leagues, rentals, events, and family-friendly activities — all at your fingertips.

The app was developed by Gah-lee Enterprises, a digital media company owned by Ted and Flori Pate. Ted, a Burlington native, brings deep community roots and digital expertise to the project. Gah-lee Enterprises is also known for Dig Local, a popular platform highlighting entertainment and eateries in Asheville, showcasing the company’s passion for promoting local culture and community engagement.
