2025 For Alamance Team Grants
Arts and Culture Team – $5,250
This funding will allow art teachers in Alamance County to apply to work with a local artist—either by receiving training in a new artistic discipline to integrate into their classrooms or by inviting an artist to teach a specific skill directly to their students. Funding will be used to pay each participating artist a stipend, purchase art supplies for classrooms, and develop outreach materials.
Bridge Team – $4,890
This funding will support the Bridge Team in organizing twelve Belonging at the Table dinners—community gatherings designed to foster trust, belonging, and civic connection through guided conversations. The grant will be used to purchase dinner food and supplies, provide thank-you gifts, develop outreach materials, and facilitate reflection events that deepen engagement and learning
Faith Team – $5,250
This funding will support the Faith Team in their partnership with local artists to design and paint Everyone Belongs murals at 3 local public schools to foster pride, hope, and a sense of belonging within these school communities. The grant will be used to provide artists with payment, purchase paint and supplies, and host community engagement celebrations at each school site.
Narrative Team – $5,250
This funding will support the hiring and management of a student writer from Elon University, who will serve as an active member of the team. Their primary focus will be writing and producing stories that highlight community action. The grant will cover the student’s stipend for writing, interviewing, and creating content that amplifies local voices and initiatives.
Youth Wellness Team – $5,250
This funding will enable the Youth Wellness Team to continue hosting community conversations that amplify youth perspectives, provide mental health support—including self-care training—and develop the MyVoice digital platform, a space for youth to share their experiences. The grant will be used to cover a subscription to the MyVoice platform, food and supplies for youth listening sessions, self-care gift bags, transportation support, and community stipends.
