Impact Alamance Awards $179K in Grants to Strengthen Local Nonprofits for a Healthier, Smarter, and Stronger Alamance County

The Impact Alamance Board of Directors approved $179,000 in strategic investments to advance the overall health and well-being of Alamance County. These investments, aligned with the foundation’s core initiative areas of healthier, smarter, and stronger, reflect Impact Alamance’s continued commitment to building a caring, connected community where everyone thrives.

Through our Progress and Enhancement grant, we awarded $150,000 to strengthen the capacity of 10 local nonprofits. This grant offers up to $50,000 in funding to Alamance County nonprofits and is designed to address key priorities outlined in the 2022 Community Health Assessment. Funds are restricted to equipment purchases that expand access to care, education, or economic opportunity.

“When we strengthen our nonprofits, we strengthen our entire community,” said Marcy Green, Vice President of Programs at Impact Alamance. “These grants are not just investments in equipment or programming—they’re investments in the people and organizations that drive lasting change in our county. By equipping nonprofits to do their best work, we’re building the foundation for a stronger Alamance County.”

An additional $29,000 was approved to support smarter and healthier initiatives. These investments will enhance educational opportunities, support teachers, and promote healthy play for youth across Alamance County.
