President
Dynamic, engaging, and passionate are just a few adjectives describing the work of Impact Alamance’s President, Tracey Grayzer. The Foundation was formed from the merger between Cone Health and Alamance Regional Medical Center. Since its inception, Tracey has led the organization in its strategic initiatives and partnerships to create a healthier, smarter, and stronger community for all. The Foundation is focused on creating a solid grid of resources for members throughout the county to provide them with the tools to thrive.
Tracey graduated with her undergraduate degree in Journalism from Duquesne University, Pfeiffer University with her MBA/MHA and has also received her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America.
She has been involved in the Women’s Symposium Planning Committee, Alamance Achieves Steering Committee, and New Leaf Society Executive Committee, among many others. You can find her on the tennis court, dance floor or spending time with her husband and two children outside of her numerous other commitments.
Vice President of Programs
Reliable, relational, and sincere are certainly outstanding qualities for the Vice President of Programs to possess. With eight years of experience within the Foundation, Marcy Green, works to oversee grant cycles and programs. She collaborates closely with the grantees during the application and post-grant award processes to help improve content knowledge and operational effectiveness. She also works with the president to serve as a convener and collaborator in the community around key community needs.
Marcy has an undergraduate degree in Community Health Education from East Carolina University and a Master’s in Health Administration from Pfeiffer University. She is dedicated to serving as the board chair of Family Abuse Services of Alamance and participating on the Alamance County Health Department Children’s Dental Clinic Advisory Board. She is grounded in her church, enjoys dining out with family and friends, as well as traveling to the N.C. coast where you can find her relaxing over a fabulous fiction novel.
Vice President of Education Programs
Tyronna Hooker is the VP of Education Programs at Impact Alamance. In her role, she leads the Alamance Achieves team and other education initiatives with local partnerships. Alamance Achieves is a community-driven initiative that aims to ensure that every child in Alamance County is educated, equipped, and engaged from cradle to career.
She earned her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from North Carolina Central University, a master’s degree in education from Elon University and her Certification in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. Tyronna is the 2011 North Carolina Teacher of the Year and has over 20 years of experience in the field of education, working with families and children.
A native of Bladen County, Tyronna has lived in Alamance County since 1995, where she and her husband have raised their two sons, who power her commitment to creating policy and systems change.
Director of Communications and Advocacy
Laura Fehlhafer serves as the Director of Communications for Impact Alamance. In this role, she guides and executes a strategy for all of the foundation’s communications, including branding, content creation, public relations activities, marketing, and support for community engagement and advocacy initiatives. Laura earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from UNC Greensboro and Computer Graphics Certificate from Guilford Technical Community College.
It is evident she has garnered experience cultivating partnerships throughout the community. Laura has served on the board of United Way of Alamance County, volunteered with Junior Achievement, and served on the Alamance Partnership for Children’s NC Pre-K Committee. Currently, she volunteers with her son’s Cub Scout pack and at her church.
Laura and her husband, Tel, have been residents of Alamance County since 2012. They have one son, and enjoy spending family time outdoors exploring the many parks and trails the county has to offer.
Community Engagement Manager
Jewel Tillman is currently the Community Engagement Manager for Impact Alamance. After receiving the Wilhelmina Boyd AAASE Scholar Award, Jewel received her degree in Political Science from Elon University. Since graduation, she has excelled in tracking and monitoring grant awards and reports for the Foundation. She has also coordinated and communicated with nonprofits and interest groups engaged in work related to the Foundation’s focus areas and vision.
In the last year, Jewel has convened the Alamance Digital Inclusion Alliance, led Wellness Collaborative planning and initiatives, and prepared and presented the Health in All Policies Resolution to the Mebane City Council.
In her spare time, she gives back to the community through her passion for dance as an instructor for the I.A.M.M. Dance Co. at Mayco Bigelow. Jewel loves trying new things and traveling to new countries.
Finance and Grants Manager
As the Finance and Grants Manager, Anne Baker oversees the foundation’s accounting systems and manages the grant software and documents. She also prepares and presents financial reports to the board as well as budgets and data analysis. She has several certificates from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree from Elon University in Psychology and Human Services.
Prior to joining the Impact Alamance team, Anne served as the Executive Director of Alamance County Meals on Wheels for seventeen years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters in her free time.
Conference Center Coordinator
Betty Kluttz has over twenty years of customer service experience. As the Conference Center Coordinator, she provides support for the planning and execution of events and meetings for the Impact Alamance team and community. Betty gets energized when she can make a difference by helping those around her.
Betty graduated from Guilford College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church; currently serving as an active elder, supporting the work of the Outreach and Mission Committees.
She was able to partner with NC MedAssist to bring the first-ever mobile pharmacy event to Alamance County, which provided free over-the-counter medications to 700+ Alamance County residents. This event is still occurring in Alamance County.
Betty is married to Mickey Kluttz. They have two children, Megan Kluttz and Jason Kluttz, and a daughter-in-law Hope Kluttz. She enjoys gardening, listening to beach music and making homemade jams and jellies.
Office Administrator
Matt Mullen’s collaborative and conscientious nature makes him well suited for his position as the foundation’s office administrator. Matt manages internal operations and administrative functions, while supporting the President and Board of Directors.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business & Communication from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. Starting his career in journalism, Matt transitioned to administrative, client service, and editorial roles within the communications field, amassing 15 years of experience. He has primarily worked in hospitality, healthcare, and life sciences industries, including serving several non-profit organizations and founding two communication agencies.
A resident of Alamance County since 2013, Matt lives in Elon with his wife and their two sons. An active community volunteer, Matt is particularly passionate about youth coaching in local soccer leagues. In his free time he enjoys reading, playing tennis and pickleball, exploring local restaurants, cooking, and traveling with his family.
Balancing a fulfilling career with family life, Matt takes pride in raising his sons while maintaining professional success. A career highlight includes interviewing former President Jimmy Carter about his childhood in Plains, Georgia.
Impact Alamance Elon Fellow
Nicole McGinty is an Elon Year of Service Fellow with Impact Alamance. She graduated from Elon University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health, and with a minors in Statistics and Wellness and Health Education. While at Elon, she was heavily involved with the Kernodle Center and Elon Volunteers! and served over 600 hours in the community whether that was at Loy Farm, the CityGate Dream Center, It Takes a Village Project or Rise Against Hunger.
In addition to volunteering, she held various leadership roles within the Kernodle Center, leading 3 Alternative Breaks, serving as the CityGate Dream Center coordinator her sophomore year, and the Executive Director of Education and Community Engagement her junior and senior years. When not at the Kernodle Center, Nicole was playing frisbee on the women’s club ultimate team, serving as the captain her junior year and president her senior year, or working as a personal trainer with RecWell.
In her role, she will coordinate grantee site visits and support the work of the Alamance Wellness Collaborative.
Nicole loves to run, hike and go backpacking.
Alamance Achieves Elon Fellow
Nyjah Rollins is the Elon Year of Service Fellow with Alamance Achieves. In her role, Nyjah will be working on a variety of projects focused on early childhood development and creating community networks and relationships. Nyjah is an Odyssey Scholar. She graduated from Elon University with a degree in Human Service Studies and a minor in Leadership Studies.
Nyjah is a Burlington/Elon native and went to Western Alamance High School. She was a summer mentor for 2 years with The Elon Academy and completed and internship with the Academy in her final semester.
Nyjah enjoys listening to K-pop, going to the gym, and spending time with family.
For Alamance Elon Fellow
Mollie Lund is also an Elon Year of Service Fellow. In her role, Mollie supports the For Alamance initiative. She also works with Community Forward applicants and grantees, and assists in connecting community members to grants.
Mollie graduated in May from Elon University with a double major in Professional Writing and Rhetoric and International and Global Studies with a concentration in East Asia and a minor in Asian Studies. She was inducted into the Sigma Kappa Kappa Zeta chapter in her sophomore year, and joined the Phi Kappa Phi honors society in the spring of her senior year.
While at Elon, she wrote for several student organizations, including the student-run lifestyle magazine, The Edge, and the on-campus newspaper, Elon News Network. She worked as a social media management intern for the Professional Writing and Rhetoric Department during her sophomore year at Elon.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing.
