In May 2026, the Impact Alamance Board of Directors approved $150,000 in grant funding to 11 local nonprofits through the Progress and Enhancement Grant Cycle. These strategic investments strengthen nonprofit capacity by supporting equipment purchases that enhance nonprofit operations and expand services.
Funds are allocated to nonprofits that address one or more of the five social determinants of health—economic stability, education access/quality, healthcare access/quality, neighborhood and built environment, and social/community context. This ensures that all investments align with Impact Alamance’s continued commitment to advancing a caring, connected community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

2026 Progress & Enhancement Grantees
Becoming Grace – $12,000
Kitchen Equipment for Licensure and Expanded Childcare Access
Funding will be used to purchase commercial kitchen equipment required to obtain full licensure as a childcare facility while expanding the ability to provide daily nutritious meals to all enrolled children.
Benevolence Farms – $20,000
Sustainable and Accessible Farming Irrigation Infrastructure for Workforce Development and Social Enterprise Growth
Funding will be used to install a rainwater capture system that improves working conditions, efficiency, and accessibility by eliminating excessive manual water hauling for the 6-12 resident-employees.
Excel Community Association of Alamance – $20,000
Community in Motion: Safe Transportation for Student Success
Funding will be used to purchase a commercial 12-15 passenger van to expand transportation services for students in Champions Academy Afterschool and Summer Enrichment Program.
Friends of Graham Recreation and Parks – $10,000
Active Learning and Facility Enhancement Project
Funding will be used for enhancements to Graham Rec Center learning spaces for youth, including flexible seating, a projector, snap circuit kits, Chromebooks, and reception furniture.
Lifespan Services Inc. – $15,000
ELC Speech Therapy Center
Funding will be used to construct, remodel, and equip the ELC Speech Therapy Center, including door installation, interior remodel, shelving, and speech therapy supplies that will expand access to services.
Residential Treatment Services of Alamance Inc. – $6,800
Hall Avenue Kitchen HVAC Improvement Project
Funding will be used to purchase a Mitsubishi ductless mini-split HVAC system for the Hall Avenue Kitchen that will improve the current unsafe and hot working conditions.
Elon Academy – $10,000
Enhancing Elon Academy
Funding will be used to purchase technology and program supplies, including laptops, a professional camera, a microphone, and branded supplies, to enhance the quality and delivery of Elon Academy programming.
Women’s Resource Center – $5,000
Enhancing WRC Capacity
Funding will be used to upgrade office and conference equipment, including a conferencing unit, desk chairs, headsets, and a laptop, as well as marketing materials to more effectively serve the needs of women and provide more community awareness of WRC.
7 Directions of Service – $17,000
The YESA Farm Seedbank
Funding will be used to establish the first Native-run seedbank in the area, which will be used to teach traditional Indigenous seed-saving techniques, protect endangered varieties, distribute produce to communities, and preserve cultural traditions.
Burlington Development Corporation – $19,200
Pre-Kinders Facility Enhancement
Funding will be used to enhance the Pre-Kinders Facility through the purchase of a washer/dryer, playground mulch, and classroom materials (art supplies, manipulatives, and STEM kits).
Stone Soup Menus Inc. – $15,000
New Fellowship Hall Floor
Funding will be used to remove the current carpet and install vinyl planks in the fellowship hall, expanding space for food prep, cooking, and packing operations.
